At times the environment can be stunningly beautiful, calming, powerful, or threatening.

These often produce an emotional response.  It is that intent, rather than capturing the scene in detail, that I aim to present with my chalk pastels and now including works in oils.

My hope is that through my work, the viewer will share and experience that which inspired me to begin each pastel painting.
